From Tango to the Stars in Argentina & Chile

Day 1 — Buenos Aires, Arrival & First Impressions
Touch down in Buenos Aires and glide through the city in a private transfer to a refined townhouse-style residence in Recoleta or Palermo. After a moment to freshen up, take a gentle introduction to the capital with a sunset stroll along leafy boulevards and Belle-Époque façades. Dinner unfolds in an intimate dining room where contemporary Argentine cuisine plays with seasonal produce and signature Patagonian flavors. A nightcap at a softly lit speakeasy sets the tone: stylish, effortless, unmistakably porteño.

Day 2 — Palermo, San Telmo & The Soul of the City
Your private guide reveals the contrasts of Buenos Aires, from Palermo’s creative ateliers and hidden courtyards to the neoclassical calm of Recoleta Cemetery. In San Telmo, cobbles lead to galleries and antique merchants; in La Boca, murals and studios tell the city’s immigrant story. Pause for a long lunch of grilled specialties and organic vegetables, then visit a contemporary art space or a designer’s showroom by appointment. The evening invites you into the world of tango—either a curated performance or a low-key milonga—before a late dinner of small plates and Argentine wines.

Day 3 — Iguazú Falls, Jungle & Mist
A morning flight carries you north to the subtropical forest of Iguazú. Settle into a serene property enfolded by jungle, then venture out along wooden walkways as the river gathers into thunder and spray. Your guide times the circuits for quieter moments, letting butterflies, orchids and the roar of the falls do the talking. Return for a siesta and spa, then dine to the chorus of cicadas, with the night sky bright enough to read by.

Day 4 — Iguazú, Water & Light
At dawn, watch the first light ignite curtains of water, then explore additional trails where coatis snuffle and toucans flash across the canopy. For a more adventurous cadence, your guide can add a boat navigation near the base of the falls; otherwise, enjoy a contemplative pace with a picnic in a shaded clearing. The afternoon is yours for the pool, a forest walk with a naturalist, or an unhurried tasting of northern Argentine varietals. Evening falls warm and velvety, scented with guava and citrus.

Day 5 — Mendoza, The Wine Country
Fly west beneath the spine of the Andes to Mendoza, where adobe, olive trees and orderly vines set the scene. Your base is a discreet wine-country retreat with views to snow-dusted peaks and a firepit for late-night stargazing. A sunset tasting introduces the local terroirs—high-altitude Malbecs, elegant blends, fresh whites—paired with artisanal cheeses and seasonal bites. Dinner is served al fresco, the air perfumed by wild herbs and distant irrigation canals.

Day 6 — Uco Valley, Cellars & Cuisine
Today is dedicated to the Uco Valley: architect-designed wineries, cellar tastings with the winemaking teams, and a private blending session to understand structure and balance. Lunch is a slow celebration of wood-fired cuisine in a vineyard garden, with views of shifting light across the cordillera. In the afternoon, wander rows of vines with a viticulturist, learning how altitude, diurnal range and soils carve identity into each wine. Return for a restorative massage and a quiet, candlelit dinner.

Day 7 — Santiago de Chile, Cross-Andes Culture
A short flight skims the Andes into Chile’s capital, where European classicism meets Pacific modernity. After check-in at a design-forward hideaway in Lastarria or Providencia, your guide threads through leafy parks, museums and hilltop viewpoints that watch the city pour away to the mountains. A chef’s table supper explores the country’s breadth—from cold-water seafood and southern forests to the orchards and farms of the central valley—paired with cool-climate Pinot and precise Cabernets.

Day 8 — Casablanca & Valparaíso, Ocean & Color
Slip towards the coast through the vine-lined Casablanca Valley for tastings of vibrant whites and graceful reds, then continue to Valparaíso, where funiculars climb past mosaic stairs and painterly alleyways. A private walk reveals murals and studios behind discreet doors; lunch lingers over line-caught fish and coastal produce. Return to Santiago as the sun melts into the Pacific, with time for a rooftop digestif under a sky sown with stars.

Day 9 — Atacama Desert, Silence & Stars
Fly north to the Atacama, a landscape of mineral silence and improbable life. Your lodge sits in a private corner of the desert, with terraces that frame volcanoes and salt pans. In the late afternoon, the Valley of the Moon turns from ochre to rose to ember as wind etches ripples into dunes. After dark, an astronomer points out the Southern Cross and the river of the Milky Way, crisp and bright in the driest sky on Earth.

Day 10 — Lagoons & Departure
Rise early for high-altitude lagoons where flamingos feed against mirror-still water, or opt for geothermal fields puffing in the blue-white cold of morning. Return for a leisurely brunch and a final dip in the pool before your transfer to the airport. Your journey closes with the same unhurried grace with which it began: artfully paced days, honest flavors, and a thread of Andes light tying Argentina and Chile into one, seamless, luxurious narrative.
